There have been some recent changes to the boating laws for the State of Alabama and since we will be fishing lakes there this season Boaters need to pay particular attention.
ALL BOAT OPERATORS must have on their person/possession a Boaters education certificate while operating a craft on waters in the State of Alabama- YOU CAN take the Alabama course or a course offered by your state. You can find the Alabama Course and Georgia Course here https://www.boat-ed.com/
ALSO as of Oct 2024 there is a NO WAKE rule in effect for lakes, Lewis Smith Lake, Lake Martin, Lake Weiss, Wedowee and Shoal Creek on Wilson lake Above the 72 Bridge. Below is the new law.
